INSPIRED is a 48-month project, funded by the European Union Horizon 2020 programme, which aims to fundamentally improve the European printed electronics market. Our diverse set of partners from across the continent will develop new applications of nanomaterials that overcome challenges caused by traditional manufacturing by leveraging high throughput printing technologies and components. This will improve European competitiveness in a growing market.
The INSPIRED project has assembled a consortium of both public and private sector partners from nearly a dozen European countries, each with their own unique area of expertise in nanotechnology and printed electronics. Partners will work together throughout INSPIRED's 48-month lifespan to combine knowledge, technology and know-how in order to improve European competitiveness in printed electronics.
The primary objective of the INSPIRED project is to demonstrate the synthesis and functionalisation of nanomaterials for printing applications with high process throughput. This will be achieved through development of high performance, cost-effective nanomaterial formulations in a range of commercial applications in relevant industrial environments (TRL 6) against the relevant industrial standards and end user applications.
